Asia Symbol (Jiangsu) Pulp and Paper Co., Ltd. is located in Changjiang Town, Rugao City, Jiangsu Province. The Phase I project involved an investment of RMB 6.48 billion and has the capacity to produce 1 million tons of high-grade ivory board annually. The products are positioned as high-end social-grade and food-grade ivory board, mainly used for premium packaging applications such as pharmaceutical packaging, liquor packaging, electronic product packaging, cosmetics, shopping bags, paper cups, and food-grade packaging products. After disposal, the products are 100% biodegradable, serving as an effective alternative to plastics and contributing positively to environmental protection.

At the same time, as one of the key projects supporting Jiangsu’s green and high-quality development, the company has constructed a supporting water purification treatment station outside the plant area, with a daily processing capacity of 30,000 m³/day. No wastewater discharge outlet is installed within the factory area; all wastewater is fully treated and reused, achieving an overall recycling rate of over 98%. This truly maximizes wastewater utilization and makes the facility the first paper mill in China to adopt a full-process zero-discharge wastewater treatment system. The company has obtained the “Factory Wastewater Zero Discharge Verification Statement” issued by SGS.

The distributed photovoltaic power generation project was officially connected to the grid in September 2024, with an installed capacity of 16.114 MW, reducing carbon emissions by 12,457.92 tons.

Since commencing operations, the company has successively received honors such as “National High-Tech Enterprise,” “Innovative Development Enterprise of Jiangsu Paper Industry,” “Top 50 Manufacturing Enterprises in Nantong City 2025,” and the “2025 Rugao City Top 30 Manufacturing Development Contribution Award.”

The “Beautiful China, I Take Action First” Environmental Day public beach-cleaning activity further demonstrated the company’s commitment to ecological protection and safeguarding clear waters and green mountains through concrete actions.
